Um....I don't know what to say about this movie. It's weird as hell; that's one thing I can say. I don't even think weird successfully describes this film. This is way beyond weird. This pushes the boundaries of normal and sane. I believe one can go insane, just watching this film alone.

Before watching this film, I spent a whole hour reading reviews on it to see what I would be getting myself into. What made me really want to watch it, is because I have seen on several "most disturbing films of all times" blogs that it was listed as one of the most disturbing film of all time. Me being the insanely curious person that I am, and the avid horror movie fan that I am, of course I have to feed my curiosity.

Feeding my curiosity has gotten me in trouble numerous times. "Saló, Or the 120 Days of Sodom", "A Serbian Film", "Martyrs", "Cannibal Holocaust", "Men Behind the Sun", "Human Centipede II"...

I am both a fan and an enemy of "sick, twisted, deranged, and disturbing". I both love and hate these films at the same time. The end result.....my mind being "sacrificed" to what I saw. I will forever be a "sacrifice" to these movies.

What is "Eraserhead". Some people say its a "work of art". Some people say is pure and utter crap. I don't think anyone really know what "Eraserhead" is and what it's supposed to be.

What is certain in the movie are four things:
•Henry has a big head.
•Henry has an angry girlfriend.
•Henry has a mysteriously mutant baby.
•Henry has a pretty fucked up life. Pardon my French.
Anything beyond these four things that other people may have saw, have apparently lost me. Please let me know what I am missing in this list here.

I don't think "Eraserhead" is "a work of art". How can someone watch this film and seriously call it a work of art??? Are you high?

I don't think "Eraserhead" is crap. This film has a lot of potential. It just lacks substance.

"Eraserhead" appears to be a series of random visuals and images thrown together. With the occasional dialogue at peak moments. Weird visuals and images at that. Definitely nothing like I have ever seen before.

Weirdness and unfamiliarity is what makes this movie stand out. It's like seeing, or even living, perhaps someone's dreams. More like nightmares. What you're looking at is one long ass nightmare. An 89-minute long nightmare. Sure, you can simply turn the movie off and save your brain. This film may make some people want to gouge their eyeballs out out of sheer boredom. But, for most of us, we continue watching because we are waiting on an explanation.

"Eraserhead" gives no explanation for it's being. It doesn't explain anything that's being shown. How the hell did Henry and his girlfriend have a mutant baby in the first place? Are one of them half human/half mutant? Do one of them have a contagious disease that turned the baby mutant? What's with the lady with the deformed pancake face? What's her story? And why is she living in the radiator, for crying out loud?

David Lynch does this film very little justice. I suspect he was high off something when he made this film. I mean...what other explanation is there. I can try my hardest to reach weirdness in film, and I wouldn't even be able to touch where Lynch has gone with "Eraserhead".

Too many people over analyze this film. How can you analyze a film that doesn't even answer questions?

This movie is plain and simple. It's everything....but it's nothing at all.

If, after what I have said about this movie still intrigues you, then I recommend and encourage you to watch it. If you have the patience, that is. This film does very little for your time and patience, but the trip till the very end is well worth it.

Check it out on Hulu Plus.

Peace.
