Dahmer (2002)

Dahmer
Release Date: March 13, 2003

Drama, Action
Director: Davidson Jacobson

Rating: One Thumb Down

I don't know what to say about this movie. Just like "Gacy", after watching this film, I had to research Dahmer. This film, mainly the title character, was even creepier than John Wayne Gacy.

Jeffrey Dahmer was born May 21, 1960 in Millwaukee, WI. He underwent surgery at the age of 6, and it was this surgery that led to his lack of confidence, as well as his parents' divorce, which would suggest led to his homosexual and murderous intentions. Betweeen 1978 and 1991, Dahmer had molested and murdered 17 men.

When you view the film, "Dahmer" was much wierder than "Gacy" You witnessed more homosexual tendencies in this film, but Jeffrey Dahmer, alone, was an insane character. True, you witness more murders in "Gacy" than you do in "Dahmer", but the personality of Dahmer is bizarre. You can't tell whether this guy is homophobic or sentimental. You witness a couple of murrders. On the flip side, yoiu witness Dahmer's "romantic" side, or "sensitive" side, if you will.

At one point in the film it seems as though Dahmer falls in love with a man. He has to be if he kees this man alive, and long enough for him to get away. Not all men are as fortunate as him. This alone makes me think of Dahmer in a different light. What does he really want? Does he want a relationship? Is he looking for is companion? Because it seems as though every man that turns him down becomes his victim.

In any case, this movie deserves the attention. Check it out on Netflix.
